Protect Black Women provides a network and support system for Black women and girls. We combat misogynoir and racial trauma through advocacy, counselling and community.
Misogynoir is the particular hatred and prejudice directed at Black women, where racism and sexism meet. The term was coined by Dr Moya Bailey.

Our advocacy, research, coaching and fundraising work aims to build inclusive environments in workplaces, in education and in society more broadly: spaces where Black women can prosper.
Our training and coaching programmes are delivered in partnership with leading practitioners in diversity and inclusion. They include the Black Empathic Approach, devised by Dr Isha Mavinga-McKenzie, which focuses on understanding and meeting the specific needs of Black people.
We also offer creative social practice workshops led by Black feminist writers such as Foluke Taylor, as well as equine and other forms of coaching and training.

We organise retreats, concerts and arts-based events that give Black women safe, nurturing spaces to explore and celebrate their cultural heritage, together with allies.
Each is designed to build a sense of community and shared understanding among the people who take part.
